Village at La Floresta is the epicenter of the 211 acre, master-planned community located on the desirable Imperial Highway. It is comprised of retailers who cater to the local culture and lifestyle needs of the community's 1,100 residential units and beyond. Omar played a vital role from start to finish in all aspects of this ground up development - initial site planning, design, placemaking, merchandising, and leasing. Anchored by Whole Foods, which was negotiated by Omar, Village at La Floresta is comprised of best in class, local and regional retailers like Mendocino Farms, Urban Plates, Stitch & Feather, and Corepower Yoga, to name a few. Featuring tasteful artwork and thoughtfully designed outdoor gathering spaces, this project is the ideal work, live, play destination.

While working at Regency, Omar dedicated over ten years to playing an active role in the redevelopment and remerchandising of Costa Verde. The team worked to reposition the 30-year-old, 180,000 SF retail property into a high-density, mixed-use, transit-oriented project catering to the rapidly expanding UTC trade area. Featuring Southern California's newest and largest transit project in decades, an extensive $2B high-line trolley system, Costa Verde is situated at the core of San Diego's next "downtown". This emerging epicenter has been artfully curated to meet the needs of ever-growing tourism, innovation, and 80+ educational institutions throughout SD. Omar served a critical function across the project's varying components, which included direct involvement in leasing, site feasibility, design, hotel negotiations, office programming and placemaking. At the center of UTC's dynamic and entrepreneurial environment, the new face of Costa Verde would provide a mixed-use destination that is rich in experience and amenities.

The Village at Tustin Legacy serves the ongoing and varying needs essential to its 1,600 acre master-planned community located in the heart of Orange County. Endless activity surrounds and moves through this region, making this project vital to the residents of Tustin and beyond. Omar was actively involved in this 20 acre, mixed-use, ground up development project while at Regency. The project included 112,000 SF of community serving retail, anchored by Stater Brothers and CVS, and a 130,000 SF medical complex, anchored by Hoag Hospital. Restaurants, health and wellness businesses, as well as professional services, protect this development from economic shifts that often drive vacancies, establishing Tustin Legacy as a long term cornerstone in the heart of Orange County.
